Self Love; My Journey.

Everyone on this earth is striving to love themselves. Unfortunately, the trials and tribulations we go through, make it hard for us to do so. The majority of those trials and tribulations are things we do and say to each other. What I have learned, is that self love is a mandatory love. In order to properly accept love, you must be able to love yourself first. In this chapter, I want to share with you the importance of truly loving your mind, body, and spirit.

LOVE YOUR MIND

Mental health is a topic I am usually not very comfortable speaking about because of the fear of being biased about mental health disorders. Loving your mind should be about defending your mind from negative thoughts and knowing the right way to take control of anything that is mentally exhausting.

Whenever I am feeling upset or anxious I can easily give myself a pep talk that will calm me down. For others, it may not be so simple. Regardless of your mental state, I think it is very important to have someone you can talk to. Let’s be real, life can get pretty hectic at times and our feelings are always changing. Having someone you can confide in is so crucial to your mental health. That person can be a friend, family member, or therapist, as long as they are able to listen to you and give you positive advice that will help you out mentally.
